Language Support
AskElephant transcribes meetings with ElevenLabs Scribe v2, which supports 90+ languages with automatic language detection. You do not need to pick a meeting language. AskElephant detects the spoken language from the recording.
Quick Answers
What languages are supported for meetings? 90+ languages via ElevenLabs Scribe v2. The full list is below.
Do you need to set a meeting language? No. Language is auto-detected from the audio.
Can a recording include multiple languages? Yes. Scribe v2 handles mixed-language audio and code-switching, and the transcript reflects what was spoken.
Can the recording be in one language and the transcript in another? No. There is no automatic translation. The transcript stays in the spoken language.
Are notes, CRM updates, or workflows auto-translated? No. Notes, summaries, CRM pushes, and workflow outputs are not translated into a different language.
Is the AskElephant product interface available in other languages? Not today. The interface is English-only.
How Language Works Across AskElephant
Recordings
Language does not change how meetings are recorded. AskElephant captures the audio and video as-is, regardless of language.
Transcripts
After the meeting, AskElephant transcribes the recording with ElevenLabs Scribe v2. Scribe v2:
Supports 90+ languages.
Automatically detects the spoken language.
Handles multiple languages in one recording.
Does not translate the transcript into a different language.
Notetaking, Summaries, and Signals
AI notes, summaries, and signals are generated from the transcript text, and they work best when the transcript is clear. There is no separate setting to write notes in one language when the call was in another.
Workflows
Workflows do not add a translation layer. AI steps follow the instructions and transcript context they receive, and outputs go out in whatever language was generated.
Desktop Dictation (AskElephant Desktop App)
Desktop dictation is separate from meeting transcription. It includes a language picker with Auto-detect plus: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Russian, Polish, Turkish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Hebrew, Ukrainian, Czech, Greek, Romanian, Hungarian, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Malay.
