Overview

Connect Asana to AskElephant to create and manage tasks from your Workflows, trigger Workflows when work changes in Asana, and manage Asana in Chat with the Asana Agent. It's a good fit for turning meetings and conversations into follow-up tasks automatically.

Asana works both ways: Workflows can create and update work in Asana, and changes in Asana can trigger Workflows in AskElephant. Asana does not import calls or recordings.

What You Can Do Once Connected

Create, update, and organize tasks, subtasks, sections, and custom fields in Asana from your Workflows.
Trigger a Workflow when a task is created, updated, or completed, or when a project is created.
Use the Asana Agent in Chat to search and manage Asana work in plain language.

Before You Begin

You need the workspace owner role in AskElephant to connect Asana.
You need an Asana account with permission to authorize apps.

How to Connect

Sign in as a workspace owner.
Click your workspace name, then open Workspace Settings → Integrations.
Find Asana and click Connect.
Complete the Asana sign-in and approval in your browser.
Return to AskElephant.

After you connect, Asana steps become available when you build a Workflow.

Troubleshooting

A Setup Required button appears and is disabled. The connection can't be started right now. Contact support so we can look into it.

A Reconnect button appears. Click Reconnect to restore the connection.

Triggers aren't firing. Confirm Asana is still connected and check that your trigger settings match the tasks or projects you expect.

Asana steps aren't showing up in a Workflow. The workspace isn't connected yet. A workspace owner needs to connect Asana under Workspace Settings → Integrations.
