Weekly Workflow: Product Feedback
Overview
The Product Feedback workflow automatically captures and surfaces product feedback from real customer conversations. Whenever a new external meeting is created, AskElephant validates it's a true customer call, extracts feature requests and pain points from the transcript, and delivers structured findings to Slack. A short video walkthrough is available for setup.
Key Terms
Workflow: An automated sequence of actions that runs when a specific event occurs (also called a "recipe")
Trigger: The event that starts the workflow—in this case, the creation of a new external meeting
Conditional Filter: A check that decides whether the workflow continues (for example, skipping internal syncs and vendor calls)
Threaded message: A Slack message grouped under a parent post so feedback items stay together under the meeting link
What This Workflow Does
For every new external meeting, the workflow:
Validates the call is a real customer conversation (not an internal meeting, interview, or vendor call)
Extracts specific product feedback, feature requests, and pain points from the transcript
Analyzes each piece of feedback with the customer's exact quote and timestamp, speaker name, role, email, and company, impact level (
Low,Medium,High), the core problem and why it matters, and a suggested solutionDelivers findings to Slack in a threaded format: one parent message for the meeting link, and each feedback item as a reply
The workflow runs automatically on external meetings, so your product team gets structured, actionable insights without manual transcript review.

Why This Workflow Is Useful
Surfaces real customer feedback
Product managers see feature requests and pain points with direct customer quotes, so the roadmap reflects what customers actually said.
Shows what's blocking deals
Leadership sees the friction and gaps that come up on sales calls, tied to specific companies and impact levels.
Saves hours of transcript review
No one has to scrub calls for feedback. Structured findings arrive in Slack already tagged with speaker, company, and impact.
Keeps the team close to customers
Everyone from product to leadership sees the same stream of customer voice, in the customer's own words.
