Custom Object Support in AskElephant

Introduction

Custom object support depends on which CRM you're connected to. Salesforce custom objects are supported in beta. HubSpot custom objects aren't supported yet — only standard objects and custom properties on those standard objects.

Salesforce Custom Objects

AskElephant can read and write Salesforce custom objects through the Salesforce Agent. The feature is in beta and needs to be turned on for your workspace.

To get it enabled:

  1. Contact support and ask to turn on the custom-objects beta flag for your account.

  2. Once enabled, the Salesforce Agent appears under Tools in any chat.

  3. The Salesforce Agent node also becomes available in the workflow builder under the Salesforce category.

  4. Refresh your browser if you don't see it right after support confirms.

From there, the Salesforce Agent handles custom objects the same way it handles standard ones — describe what you want it to do and point it at the right object.

HubSpot Custom Objects

Custom object support for HubSpot isn't available yet. You can:

  • Create and update standard HubSpot objects (deals, contacts, companies, tickets).

  • Read and write custom properties on those standard objects.

  • Use the HubSpot Agent for automated workflows on standard objects.

What you can't do today: create, update, or reference a HubSpot custom object (e.g., a custom "Subscription" or "Integration" object you've defined in HubSpot).

If you need HubSpot custom object support, let support know — it's on the roadmap and customer demand shapes priority.
