Bot Doesn't Leave a Meeting

Introduction

If you've left a meeting but the AskElephant notetaker is still in the call because other participants are there, you can remove it manually to stop recording and kick off transcript processing.

Remove the Notetaker Manually

  1. Open the meeting in AskElephant.

  2. Click Remove on the meeting interface.

The notetaker leaves the call and starts processing your transcript immediately, even if the meeting is still running for everyone else.

Google Meet: End for Everyone

If you're the host of a Google Meet call, you can end the meeting for all participants when you leave. This kicks the notetaker along with everyone else.

  • Only the meeting host (whoever owns the call) can do this. If you're a guest, use the Remove option above.

Current Behavior

There's no setting today that tells the notetaker to leave the moment you leave. As long as the meeting is active with other participants, the notetaker keeps recording until you remove it manually or the meeting ends.

If this affects how you work, let us know — it helps us prioritize.
