How to Access Tools

Using AskElephant tools is straightforward. Look for the Tools section in the bottom left of the AskElephant chat window. You'll see a small multi-tool icon1click it to open a menu. From there, simply toggle on the tools you need for your current task.

Web Search Tool: Stay Current

The web search tool connects AskElephant to the internet, letting you pull information that's fresh and relevant. This is especially useful when you need details that change frequently.

When to use Web Search

  • Reviewing clients before meetings: Catch up on a prospect's recent news or company updates
  • Researching competitors: Find the latest features, pricing changes, or announcements
  • Fact-checking: Verify current information from LinkedIn, company websites, or industry sources
  • Staying informed: Access breaking news or recent developments in your industry

How it works

Once you toggle on web search, simply ask AskElephant your question. For example: "What is the latest feature offered by Gong?"

AskElephant will search the web and provide you with:

  • Direct answers based on what it finds
  • Links to the original sources it used
  • A dropdown summary showing where it searched

This means you're never left wondering where the information came from1you can verify everything yourself.

Internal Search Tool: Unlock Your Collective Knowledge

The internal search tool is what makes AskElephant unique. It searches through everything your team has captured1hundreds of past engagements, meeting notes, and company information stored in your workspace.

What it does

Instead of hunting through old notes or asking colleagues to remember past conversations, internal search pulls insights from across your entire customer base. You can spot trends, find similar situations you've handled before, and make faster, smarter decisions.

When to use Internal Search

  • Finding patterns: Discover common questions or challenges your customers face
  • Reusing insights: Apply lessons learned from one customer to another
  • Building context: Understand a customer's history before reaching out
  • Speed: Get answers without manually digging through files
